Influencer agreement template
A contract between a brand or agency and a creator: deliverables, approvals, disclosure, usage rights, exclusivity and payment.
Most disputes with creators come from something nobody wrote down: how many revisions, when the post goes live, whether the brand can use the video in ads, and when the invoice gets paid. This agreement puts those on paper.
Fill in the square brackets, delete the clauses you don't need (whitelisting and exclusivity are optional), and send it with the brief.
Opens in Word, Google Docs and Pages. Free, no sign-up.
This template is a starting point, not legal advice. Laws differ between the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf, and between mainland and free zone jurisdictions. Have a lawyer review it before you rely on it.

1. The campaign
The Creator will create and publish content promoting [brand / product] for the campaign [campaign name] ("the Campaign"), as described in the brief attached to this agreement.
2. Deliverables
| Platform | Format | Quantity | Draft due | Publish date |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| [Instagram] | [Story set, 3 frames, with link sticker] | [1] | [date] | [date] |

Each post will stay live on the Creator's account for at least [90 days] from publication, unless the Company agrees otherwise in writing.
3. Approval
- The Creator will send each piece of content, including the caption, to the Company for approval before publishing, by the draft due date above.
- The Company will give feedback within [2 working days]. Silence after that period is not approval.
- The fee includes [2] rounds of revisions per deliverable. Further revisions, or changes to the brief after approval, will be agreed and paid separately.
- The Creator keeps creative control of their style and voice. The Company may require changes for factual accuracy, legal compliance or brand safety.
4. Disclosure and permits
- The Creator will clearly disclose that each post is paid promotion, using the platform's paid partnership tool where available and a clear label such as "Ad" or "Paid partnership" at the start of the caption.
- The Creator confirms they hold, and will keep valid for the term of this agreement, any licence or permit required to advertise on social media in the country or countries where the content is published and aimed, including any required by the UAE Media Council or Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Media Regulation.
- The Creator will follow applicable advertising and media content standards, and will not make claims about the product that the Company has not approved.
5. Fees and payment
- The Company will pay the Creator a total fee of [AMOUNT] [AED], [inclusive / exclusive] of VAT, for the deliverables above.
- [50%] is payable on signature and [50%] within [30] days of the last deliverable being published and the performance report being received.
- The Creator will send a valid invoice (a tax invoice if the Creator is VAT-registered) to [accounts email].
- Products provided for the Campaign are [to be kept by the Creator / to be returned by (date)].
6. Performance reporting
Within [7 days] of each feed post and [24 hours] of each story, the Creator will send screenshots or exports of the platform's insights, showing reach, impressions, views, likes, comments, shares, saves and link clicks where available.
7. Usage rights
The Creator grants the Company a non-exclusive licence to use the approved content on [the Company's own social media channels / website / paid social advertising / other: ___], in [territory, for example the UAE / the GCC], for [90 days] from publication. Any use beyond this will be agreed and paid separately. The Creator keeps ownership of the content.
8. Whitelisting (optional)
The Creator will give the Company access to run the content as paid advertising from the Creator's account, through the platform's partnership ads or equivalent, for [30 days], with a maximum spend of [AMOUNT]. The Company will not change the Creator's captions or publish new content under the Creator's name without the Creator's written approval. The whitelisting fee is [AMOUNT].
9. Exclusivity (optional)
From [date] until [date], the Creator will not publish paid or gifted content for [named competitors or category, for example other telecom providers] in [territory]. The exclusivity fee is [AMOUNT].
10. Conduct and brand safety
If the Creator publishes content or behaves publicly in a way that could reasonably damage the Company's reputation, the Company may end this agreement by written notice, remove its content from further use, and withhold payment for deliverables not yet published.
11. Cancellation
- If the Company cancels before content is created, it will pay [25%] of the fee. After content is created and approved, it will pay the full fee for that content.
- If the Creator fails to deliver without good reason, the Company may end the agreement and the Creator will refund any fee paid for undelivered content.
12. Confidentiality
The Creator will keep the Campaign, the fee and any unreleased product information confidential until the Campaign is public, and the fee confidential after that.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of [the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE / other]. Disputes will be settled by the courts of [Dubai / other].
