Comparison

HubSpot or an agency OS: an honest comparison

HubSpot is a superb platform for winning and keeping customers. Agencies often buy it for that, then try to run delivery on it too. This page is about where that works, and where it doesn't.

Fair start

What HubSpot is genuinely good at

Most comparison pages won’t say this, so it’s worth being plain: HubSpot is a strong product, and for plenty of teams it’s the right choice.

  • CRM and sales pipeline. Tracking leads, deals and every conversation with a prospect is what HubSpot does best, and few tools match it.
  • Inbound marketing. Landing pages, forms, email marketing, social publishing and marketing analytics sit on the same contact record, which is hard to replicate.
  • Service and support. Ticketing, a knowledge base and customer feedback tools, if your agency offers ongoing support.
  • An ecosystem agencies know. A large partner programme, certifications and an app marketplace, and many agency staff already know it.
The limit

Where agencies hit the edges

Built for your customers' journey, not your delivery

HubSpot is excellent up to the signed deal. The projects, deliverables, approvals and reports that follow are not what it is built around.

Gulf invoicing isn't the focus

HubSpot has quotes and invoicing tools, but UAE tax invoices with both TRNs and VAT in dirhams, receipts and credit notes in AED and SAR usually sit in a separate accounting tool. Check whether its own payment processing is offered in your country.

PR and influencer work

Press coverage with screenshots, creator rate cards and influencer campaign reporting aren't part of HubSpot.

Cost grows with the list

Pricing climbs with seats and, on the marketing side, with contacts. For an agency that isn't using the marketing automation, much of that is paying for tools it doesn't need.

The decision

How to tell which one you need

  • Do you use HubSpot to sell, or to deliver? If it's your sales and marketing engine, keep it and run delivery elsewhere. If it's where you track projects, it's probably the wrong shape for that job.
  • Which HubSpot features did you use last month? If the answer is the contact list and deals, you may be paying for a platform you use a small part of.
  • Where do invoices and reports come from? If they come from three other tools, that's the gap an agency OS fills.

If HubSpot runs your new business and marketing well, keep it for that. Many agencies should use a CRM for selling and a separate system for delivering; the question is only which system delivers.

Wiro

What you would be moving to

Wiro is an agency operating system: clients, projects, finance, content, PR, influencers and reporting on one record, built for agencies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The honest trade is flexibility: Wiro makes decisions about how agency work runs, so it bends less than a general platform.

The detail is on the pages for invoicing, social media, PR, influencer marketing and the client portal.

Common questions

Should an agency use HubSpot and Wiro together?

It can make sense: HubSpot to win clients, Wiro to deliver and bill the work. Wiro isn't trying to be a sales CRM or a marketing automation platform.

Does HubSpot do UAE VAT invoices?

HubSpot has invoicing tools, but agencies in the UAE usually issue tax invoices from an accounting tool that handles TRNs and VAT in AED. Wiro issues tax invoices, simplified tax invoices, quotations, receipts and credit notes itself.

Can we move our clients from HubSpot?

Companies and contacts export to CSV, and those are the records worth bringing across for delivery.

HubSpot is a trademark of its owner. Wiro is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
