monday.com or an agency OS: an honest comparison
monday.com is one of the best general work platforms there is. This page is about what happens when an agency runs its whole business on it: the parts it handles brilliantly, and the parts that end up in spreadsheets beside it.
What monday.com is genuinely good at
Most comparison pages won’t say this, so it’s worth being plain: monday.com is a strong product, and for plenty of teams it’s the right choice.
- Boards for anything. Almost any process can become a board with the right columns, views and statuses. If your agency has an unusual workflow, monday.com will model it more closely than any purpose built tool.
- Automations without code. Its when-this-then-that automations are genuinely good, and a team that invests in them can remove a lot of manual status changes and reminders.
- A huge integration catalogue. Whatever else your agency uses, there is probably a monday.com integration for it, or a way to connect it.
- Mature and familiar. Polished apps, a large community, plenty of consultants who set it up for a living, and staff who may already know it from a previous job.
Where agencies hit the edges
Money lives somewhere else
A board can hold an invoice amount, but it doesn't issue a UAE tax invoice with both TRNs, VAT in dirhams and the details the Federal Tax Authority lists. Most agencies run invoicing in a separate accounting tool and reconcile the two by hand.
Agency work that has to behave
Scheduling a post for client approval, capturing a screenshot of press coverage before the article changes, or pricing an influencer from a rate card aren't board problems. They become integrations, add-ons or manual steps.
You are the one building it
The flexibility means someone has to design the boards, keep the automations working and teach new hires the system. When that person leaves, the setup often stops matching how the agency actually works.
Clients see your board, or a copy of it
Guests and shareable boards work, but giving twenty clients the right view of their own work, and nothing else, takes careful setup and upkeep.

How to tell which one you need
- How much of the month happens outside it? If invoices, content approvals and reports all live in other tools, monday.com is your task list rather than your operating system. That can be fine, but count what the gaps cost.
- Who maintains the setup? If one person built the boards and automations, ask what happens when they leave.
- Do you want to design your system, or adopt one? monday.com rewards agencies that enjoy designing process. Wiro suits agencies that would rather start from how agencies already work.
If your team is happy in monday.com, your finance runs smoothly in an accounting tool, and nobody is copying numbers between systems every month, stay. Switching has a cost, and there is no prize for doing it early.
What you would be moving to
Wiro is an agency operating system: clients, projects, finance, content, PR, influencers and reporting on one record, built for agencies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The honest trade is flexibility: Wiro makes decisions about how agency work runs, so it bends less than a general platform.
The detail is on the pages for invoicing, social media, PR, influencer marketing and the client portal.
Common questions
Is Wiro a monday.com replacement?
For agencies, it replaces monday.com and several of the tools around it: invoicing, content approval, PR coverage and influencer tracking. For non-agency work, or teams that rely heavily on custom automations, monday.com is the more flexible platform.
Can monday.com issue UAE tax invoices?
Not as a built-in feature. Agencies typically use an accounting tool alongside it, or an integration. Wiro issues tax invoices, simplified tax invoices, quotations, receipts and credit notes itself.
Can we bring our monday.com data across?
Boards export to Excel. Clients, contacts and active projects are the parts worth importing; most agencies leave closed work behind.
