TRN (Tax Registration Number)
The 15-digit number the UAE's Federal Tax Authority gives a business when it registers for tax.
Also called: tax registration number, VAT number UAE
A TRN identifies a business in the UAE tax system. A VAT-registered business must show its own TRN on every tax invoice it issues, and the customer's TRN too when the customer is registered.
Check a supplier's or client's TRN before relying on it. The Federal Tax Authority offers a TRN verification service on its website, which confirms whether a number is valid and whose it is.
