TikTok World 2026: the new ad tools, and which reach the Gulf

TikTok's yearly product summit in May 2026 brought Search Hubs, Branded Buzz, bigger reach buys and more AI. Much of it reached the Middle East in June; some of it depends on TikTok Shop, which the Gulf does not have yet. Here is what was announced and what you can use.

On 13 May 2026 TikTok held its sixth TikTok World, the summit where it sets out what advertisers can buy for the year ahead. The themes were search, creators and automation. On 29 June TikTok said many of the new tools were available across the Middle East and North Africa, which makes this year's announcements more immediately useful to Gulf agencies than most.

Search Hubs: a brand page at the top of search

A Search Hub is a brand-owned destination that sits, guaranteed, at the very top of TikTok's search results for chosen terms. TikTok announced four kinds:

  • Branded Search Hub, for a brand's own name, which is generally available.
  • Category Search Hub, for generic terms such as a product category, in open beta for non-commerce categories in selected countries.
  • Sponsor Search Hub, for cultural moments and big events, in alpha.
  • E-commerce Branded Search Hub, for TikTok Shop sellers.

Search Hubs are bought through a TikTok sales representative rather than in Ads Manager, under the consideration objective. TikTok says advertisers saw an engagement rate 36 times higher than standard in-feed ads, from its own global data. As with any platform's figures about its own product, treat that as a reason to test, not a forecast. The Gulf already has an example: TikTok's case study says Visit Saudi was the first advertiser in the region with a Branded Search Hub, for searches such as travel to Jeddah and tourism in AlUla.

Branded Buzz and Keyword Amplifier

Branded Buzz is a managed creator campaign designed to produce a large burst of organic videos about a brand in a short time. TikTok's announcement spoke of hundreds of creator videos; its business blog describes 300 creators and thousands of videos. Setup takes about two weeks and runs through TikTok One, TikTok's platform for working with creators. The creators have at least 50,000 followers, every video carries a Promotional Content label, and the brand can run the videos as Spark Ads for 180 days afterwards. It can be bundled with a Search Hub, standard ads or a branded effect.

Keyword Amplifier connects the two. It adds clickable comments and suggested searches to creator videos, leading viewers into the brand's Search Hub. TikTok reports a 58 percent increase in search page views from bundling them.

Bigger reach buys

  • TopReach combines TopView, the ad people see when they open the app, with TopFeed in one buy, designed to reach all available users in a day. Creative Sequencing lets the ads run in a set order.
  • Logo Takeover and Prime Time, announced at TikTok's NewFronts in March, add co-branding on the app's opening screen and up to three ads in sequence to the same person within 15 minutes.

Automation and AI

  • Smart+, TikTok's automated campaigns, gained automation you can switch on or off by module, manual placements, the traffic objective and AI reporting summaries.
  • Creator AI Search in TikTok One reads a campaign brief and recommends creators.
  • Symphony, TikTok's AI creative suite, showed Dreamina Seedance 2.0 video generation, added in April, and a new Reference to Video tool that places a chosen product or image at a chosen moment of the video.
  • A TikTok Ads MCP server and TikTok Ads Skills let AI assistants create campaigns, analyse creative and adjust budgets.
  • Market Scope, TikTok's market research tool, gained industry, e-commerce and creative insight modules.

Some roundups listed AI voiceover avatars in more than 30 languages as a TikTok World launch. They are real, but TikTok launched them in June 2024. What changed in 2026 is an upgraded avatar experience, announced in July.

What reached the Middle East

On 29 June TikTok told Arab News that Symphony Agent, TikTok One, Seedance 2.0 in Symphony, Reference to Video, Logo Takeover, Prime Time, TopReach, Branded Buzz, Search Hubs and Market Scope were available across the region. It did not break that down by country.

Several announcements do not apply here yet:

  • TikTok Shop is not live in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, according to TikTok's own list of Shop markets, so the E-commerce Search Hub and GMV Max, which depend on it, are out of reach for Gulf merchants.
  • TikTok Growth Max, for short drama series and games inside the app, launched in markets that do not include the Gulf.
  • TikTok GO, the in-app hotel and attraction booking behind the new GO Ads, launched in the US.

What to do with it

  • For clients with strong brand search, ask the TikTok representative about a Branded Search Hub, and look first at what people search for around the brand.
  • For launches, compare the cost of Branded Buzz with booking creators directly. Branded Buzz buys scale and speed; direct bookings buy control over who speaks for the brand.
  • Mind usage rights. Branded Buzz videos can run as Spark Ads for 180 days; creators booked directly need paid usage written into their contract.
  • Save TopReach and Prime Time for tentpoles such as Ramadan, National Day or White Friday, and only when the budget can carry a full day of reach.

The free TikTok engagement rate calculator on this site checks how a creator's recent videos perform before you book them, and the ad mockup generator shows a TikTok ad in the For You feed with the app's own safe zone.
