A week-by-week Ramadan 2027 content calendar for UAE brands

Ramadan 2027 is expected to run from about 8 February to 8 or 9 March, with Eid on 9 or 10 March. Here is what to post each week, the dates inside the month that change the plan, and when everything needs to be approved.

We have written about planning Ramadan budgets and media early. This piece is the posting plan: what goes out each week, and when it has to be approved. One rule runs through all of it. Every 2027 date below is an astronomical estimate until the UAE's moon-sighting committee announces it, so the plan is built to move by a day.

The expected dates

  • Ramadan is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, according to projections from the UAE Astronomy Centre and the Emirates Astronomical Society, reported by Khaleej Times and Gulf News.
  • Eid al Fitr is expected on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March, depending on the moon sighting on the evening of 8 March.
  • UAE rules give three paid days for Eid, 1 to 3 Shawwal, plus 30 Ramadan if the month runs to 30 days, so the break is likely to fall around 9 to 12 March.

Ramadan 2027 covers most of the first quarter. Valentine's Day, Saudi Founding Day and International Women's Day all fall inside it or on its last day, which changes how each one should be handled.

Before Ramadan: lock it down by the end of January

Snap's 2026 Ramadan research found 40% of its users in the region start planning three months or more ahead. Brands should too. Work backwards: concepts approved by mid-December, shoots done in early January while crews and talent are free, and every Ramadan and Eid post approved by the last week of January. Reduced working hours in Ramadan make late approvals slower; in 2026 the private sector working day was cut by two hours, and similar announcements usually come in late January or early February.

Hag Al Leila, the Emirati children's night in mid-Sha'ban, falls around 22 or 23 January 2027 by calculation. No official date has been published, so confirm it before you plan family content around it.

Week 0, 1 to 7 February: the welcome

A short teaser and a Ramadan Kareem message ready to publish the moment the start is announced, with a second version ready in case the month begins a day later. Keep the tone warm and simple; the first days are about welcome, not offers.

Week 1, 8 to 14 February: routines

Content about the new rhythm of the day: suhoor, the working day, iftar with family. Valentine's Day falls around the seventh day of Ramadan. For most UAE brands, the right call is to skip it or keep it very low key.

Week 2, 15 to 21 February: evenings and generosity

Audiences move to the evening. In YouGov's 2026 Ramadan survey, 45% of UAE respondents watched TV between 7 and 10 pm and 28% between 10 pm and 2 am, and morning slots drew fewer than one in ten. Post after iftar, and keep the late-night window for anything that needs a response.

Week 3, 22 to 28 February: giving, and two national days

  • Saudi Founding Day on 22 February falls around the 15th day of Ramadan. Brands active in Saudi Arabia should mark it, in a tone that suits the month.
  • Zayed Humanitarian Day falls on 19 Ramadan, around 26 February by calculation. It is a day for giving and community, not promotions.
  • The last ten nights begin around the evening of 27 February. Plan the shift in tone from here.

Week 4, 1 to 7 March: the last ten nights and Eid gifting

The month moves from connection to preparation for Eid, a pattern Snap's regional team has described for several years. WAM reported a sharp rise in shopping before Eid in 2026, led by food, clothing, perfume and gifts. Gift guides, Eid outfits and delivery cut-off dates belong here, with restraint around the 27th night, expected on the evening of 5 March.

Eid week, 8 to 14 March: two versions of everything

Prepare every Eid post twice, one for Tuesday 9 March and one for Wednesday 10 March, and schedule the first once the moon sighting is announced on the evening of 8 March. International Women's Day on 8 March falls on the last day of Ramadan or Eid eve; a short, respectful post works better than a campaign. After Eid, Emirati Children's Day on 15 March and Mother's Day on 21 March close the quarter.

Run it without a scramble

  • Build the whole month in your scheduler before February, with both Eid versions saved as drafts.
  • Send the client one approval link for the full month, not a post a day, and agree who signs off during reduced hours.
  • Plan for WhatsApp. Infobip reported GCC WhatsApp traffic rose about 140% during Ramadan 2026, so customer service teams need cover in the evenings.
  • Write down what worked. This year's results are the best brief for Ramadan 2028.
Plan Ramadan to move by a day. Every date in it depends on the moon.

If the expected dates hold, the whole plan fits in the first quarter of 2027, with Eid in the second week of March. If they move, nothing needs rewriting; only the schedule shifts.
