Meta One explained: what the new subscription gives businesses

Meta launched Meta One on 15 September 2026, a paid subscription across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp with four plans for businesses and creators. Here is what each plan includes, what it costs in the UAE, and what it does not do.

On 15 September 2026, Meta launched Meta One, a subscription that bundles paid features across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI. For most people it is optional extras: more AI generation, more creative tools. For businesses and creators it is something more significant, because some of what it sells, such as clickable links in organic Instagram posts, has never been available before.

This is what Meta has published, what the UAE press has reported, and what is still unclear, as of 23 September 2026. Meta's own pages do not all agree yet, and where they differ we say so.

Two kinds of plan

Meta One has plans for individuals and plans for businesses and creators. The individual plans are Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus at 3.99 US dollars a month, WhatsApp Plus at 2.99, and two bundles, Core at 7.99 and Premium at 19.99, which add more use of Meta AI's image and video generation. Meta says the core apps and Meta AI remain free, and that is not changing.

The business and creator plans are the ones agencies need to understand. Meta lists four, each as a starting price per month:

  • Essential, from 14.99 dollars: a verified badge, a verified channel on the WhatsApp Business app, impersonation protection, and more access to Meta Business Agent, the assistant that answers customers on WhatsApp around the clock. The badge depends on passing verification.
  • Advanced, from 49.99 dollars: scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, clickable links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, access for team members without sharing a password, and more linked devices and broadcast credits on WhatsApp.
  • Expert, from 149 dollars, and Max, from 499 dollars: the highest levels of feature access and Business Agent capacity. Engadget reported that Max includes unlimited requests for human support and the option of a phone call with a member of Meta's staff.

The limits, in numbers

Meta's help pages, updated in the week after launch, fill in some of the numbers the launch post left out.

  • Links on Instagram: Advanced allows 4 posts and 4 Reels with links a month, Expert 8 and 8, and Max 12 and 12. The allowances are separate for posts and Reels, reset on the renewal date and do not carry over.
  • Team access: up to 4 people on Advanced, 8 on Expert and 30 on Max. Invitations expire after 7 days.
  • A link page of up to 20 links on every business plan, against 5 links in the bio without a subscription.
  • Scheduling posts and Reels up to a year ahead on Advanced, Expert and Max, on mobile.

Khaleej Times reported separate Facebook link allowances, including a limit for Pages without a subscription of two link posts a month, with links in ads unaffected. We could not find those figures on a Meta page, so check them in the app before building a posting plan around them. If they are right, a client whose organic Facebook strategy relies on link posts will feel it.

What Meta has not published is how many Business Agent responses or WhatsApp broadcast credits each plan includes. Budget for the plan on the features you can see, not on those allowances.

What it costs in the UAE

UAE outlets reported local prices on launch: Essential from 46.99 dirhams a month, Advanced from 119 and Expert from 359, with Gulf News giving Max from 1,199. On the individual side, WhatsApp Plus was reported at 5.99 dirhams, Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at 7.99, Core at 22.99 and Premium at 76.99. None of the reports quoted Meta directly, so confirm the price in the app for the account in question. Saudi Arabia was one of the markets where Meta tested the business plans in May 2026, but Saudi prices had not been reliably reported when we checked.

Meta says plans, benefits, pricing and availability can vary by region, by app and by account. Its launch post says the plans are available globally and rolling out gradually, while several of its help pages still describe Meta One as in limited testing and not yet available in every country. If a client cannot see it yet, that is why.

Meta One and Meta Verified

Meta describes Meta One as building on Meta Verified, the verification subscription it started selling in 2023. Meta Verified reached the UAE and Saudi Arabia in July 2023 at 46.99 dirhams a month, the same price now reported for Meta One Essential, and a version for businesses followed later that year. When the business plans were first tested in May 2026, Meta said they did not replace Meta Verified. What happens to existing Meta Verified subscribers now has not been set out on a Meta page we could read, so a client already paying for Meta Verified should not cancel it on the assumption that Meta One covers the same ground.

What it means for ads

Nothing Meta has published says Meta One changes how ads are bought, delivered or priced. Nothing Meta has published about the plans includes ad credit, a discount or extra reach for paid campaigns, and ads are still bought in Ads Manager exactly as before, with their own links and buttons.

Some plans do include organic visibility benefits. Engadget reported more visibility in Instagram search for Advanced and Expert, and the May test included appearing higher in Facebook and Instagram search. Those help people who are already looking for the business find it. They are not a substitute for a media budget.

Should a client subscribe?

  • A creator or small business that sells through organic posts and needs clickable links: Advanced is probably worth testing, measured on the traffic those links bring.
  • A brand that is regularly impersonated by fake pages, which happens to many well-known brands: Essential's verification and impersonation protection may justify the price on their own.
  • A business that answers customers on WhatsApp: the Business Agent capacity may matter, but without published allowances it is hard to price.
  • A brand whose growth comes from paid media: there is little in Meta One for the ads themselves.

What agencies should do now

Decide, with each client, whether the subscription belongs to the client's account and budget or to the agency's retainer, since it is billed to the account that subscribes. Check which plan, if any, each client already has, and whether their organic plan depends on link posts. And keep an eye on the help pages: the numbers above were published within days of launch, and more are likely to follow.

For clients who do subscribe, tag the new organic links with UTM parameters, so the traffic they bring can be measured separately from ads. The free UTM builder on this site does it in one step.
